On your
arrival at Auckland’s International Airport, you will be greeted and then
transferred to your accommodation.

more than one million people Auckland represents the largest urban city in
New Zealand and is recognised as having the largest concentration of
Polynesian people in the world. As an evolving modern city, Auckland has
undergone a renaissance - with an ever-changing skyline, a pulsating
waterfront and a new infusion of restaurants and bars, it has become a Mecca
for nightlife, buzzing with an atmosphere of fun and excitement.
In
the afternoon you will be collected from your hotel to join a half-day “Bush
and Beach” Discovery tour of Auckland’s West Coast. Only 30 kilometres from
downtown Auckland is the cities largest regional park the Waitakere Ranges.
Visit the Arataki Centre where you have spectacular views of both coasts and
magnificent Maori carvings.
We continue to a black sand beach where our guide will explain all about the
fascinating local history, flora and fauna of the region. You will get the
opportunity to stroll on an unspoiled beach. This journey will take you
into dense rainforest, giant Tree Ferns and New Zealand’s famous Kauri
trees. Along the walk native birds and magnificent waterfalls give you an
insight into our unspoiled native bush.
DAY 02 AUCKLAND/WAITOMO
CAVES/ROTORUA

At 7.45 am this morning you
will be collected from your inner city hotel for your full day excursion
tour to the Thermal City of Rotorua.
Travel the main Southern
Highway through small rural townships steeped in early pioneer history.
Today’s journey will take you through lush farmlands, following the route of
the Waikato River for some of your journey. The Waikato region is a major
agricultural centre of New Zealand’s largest dairy and sheep farming
province. You will then travel into the small towns of Otorohanga and
Waitomo. Enjoy a guided tour of the Waitomo Caves and lunch, before
continuing on your journey south to Rotorua. On arrival at your Rotorua
hotel accommodation the remainder of your evening is at leisure.

This
morning you will be collected to join a morning highlights tour of Rotorua
including entrance into Rainbow Springs, Rainbow Farm and
Te Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve has been included.
I n
the afternoon, please make your way to the Polynesian Spa Complex, which is
located directly behind your hotel property on the edge of the lake.
Polynesian Spa is sited on the famous Priest Spring discovered by a Catholic
priest, Father Mahoney, in 1878. The priest, who was based in Tauranga, 88
kilometres away, is said to have trekked through the bush and set up camp
adjacent to the spring. Polynesian Spa is an historical hot mineral water
bathing spa on the edge of Lake Rotorua. It offers 35 hot mineral pools
including adult only pools, a luxury spa including massage and skin care
therapies, a family spa and private pools. A souvenir shop and a café
complete this fascinating complex.
Enjoy a 1-hour body massage before taking a soak in one of the Polynesian
thermal pools.

At
approximately 06.00pm, Tamaki Tours will collect you for an enjoyable
cultural experience. The traditional style Hangi (food cooked authentically
under the ground) will be served as your evening meal. You will be
entertained by Maori dances (Haka, poi dance); this is a great introduction
into the Maori culture.
DAY 04 ROTORUA TO
QUEENSTOWN

This morning
you will be transferred to the Rotorua Domestic Airport to connect with your
flight to Queenstown.
Queenstown has captured
hearts since the first Maori came in search of Pounamu (greenstone or jade)
and to hunt the giant Moa Bird and the same magic remains today. Queenstown
is now an established resort town for visitors from all parts of the world
and all spectrums of life. This town deep in the heart of the South Island
of New Zealand is pure escapism. This is the place where limits stop and
people’s imaginations take over. This is your opportunity to discover the
wonders of Queenstown and the surrounding areas.
On
arrival into Queenstown you will be transferred to Millbrook Resort.

2 wet treatment rooms, 4 dry treatment rooms, Hair & Makeup salon, Manicure

with 1 ”Vichy” Wet room and 1 “Vichy” Steam Room. Full body treatments are
available, as well as massage and facials to name just a few.
Today is at
leisure to explore the Queenstown region. Take one of the scheduled
Millbrook coach transfers into Queenstown Township and explore the shops,
restaurants and the beautiful lakefront area.

This morning
you will join the Lakeshore, Forest and Bird tour. Absorb the natural
beauty of the surrounds on this peaceful excursion.
There’s simply no finer way to appreciate the real Wakatipu Basin than
getting in amongst it. Less than 20 minutes from Queenstown you’ll feel like
the first person ever to set foot in scenery straight out of your
imagination. This is the nature you’ve always dreamed of, gentle underfoot
and awe-inspiring to the eyes and ears. After a brief road trip complete
with fascinating commentary on the region’s history and make-up, you’ll
begin your walk in a lush, native New Zealand beech forest. The track winds
easily down to the crystal clear waters of Lake Wakatipu, which form a
glorious foreground to mountain views framed by evergreen trees and bush.
As well as the lapping of the lake, the only other sounds you’ll hear will
be the music of the native birds, and your guide will call them for your
close-up appreciation and photography.
Gold mining and farming form the backbone of the lake’s human history and a
little further down the track, in a sheltered cove you’ll visit relics of
century-old habitation and cottage industry. A gentle incline through
native shrubbery leads to a rocky peninsula hilltop with glorious views in
all directions, including an overview of the winding path along the
lakeshore back to pre-arranged pick-up point for your return trip to
Queenstown. Morning or Afternoon tea will be provided during the walk.

DAY 07 QUEENSTOWN TO
AUCKLAND

This morning please check out of
your accommodation. You will be transferred to the Queenstown Airport to
connect with your flight to Auckland. On arrival at Auckland Domestic
Airport you will be collected and transferred to your accommodation.

In the
afternoon please make your way to the exclusive Spa De Serville clinic,
situated
about 5 minutes walk
from your hotel – on the Princes Wharf. Enjoy one of their lovely
treatments, before returning to your hotel.
Dinner has been reserved for you at the Harbourside Restaurant, which is one
of Auckland’s top restaurants. As the name suggests it is situated on the
Auckland waterfront. The reservation time is for approximately 07.30pm.
Dinner tonight will be from a Set Menu and will feature sumptuous creations
from the restaurant kitchen.
This
morning please check out of your hotel.
You will be transferred from your hotel to the Auckland International
Airport to connect with your outbound flight arrangements.
