Balloon Adventures

Please
allow 3-4 hours for your ballooning experience. Actual flying time is about
one hour and passengers are encouraged to help in the flight preparation. As
the sun rises, our flight takes us over a checkerboard of farmland laced
with rivers, with the Southern Alps dominating the horizon to the the west
and the endless blue of the ocean to the east. After landing in a farmer's
field, we relax and enjoy a glass of chilled Methode Champenois. You
will take home our complimentary flight certificate as a memento of your
ballooning experience. You may also buy photos of your flight.
Start times vary with the season to capture the sunrise. They can be as
early as 4.30am in the summer and as late as 7.30 am in the winter. Minimum

Visitors can now enjoy the thrilling Antarctic Adventure Course ride. The 15
minute Hagglund Ride tests the machine's capabilities over mounds, a
crevasse, a newly-constructed liquorice strap obstacle, moguls and of course
the plunge into the 3m deep pond. Open daily from 9am. Hagglund Ride
departs every 20 minutes.

Tramway is a quality inner city tour experience that combines the heritage
of the trams, attractions and historic buildings with the culture of the
Garden City.
The beautifully restored trams follow a 2.5 kilometre loop around central
Christchurch taking in some of the most interesting sites. These include
Cathedral Square, Aquarium of Discovery, The Arts Centre, Botanic Gardens,
Canterbury Museum, Punting on the Avon, Victoria Square, and New Regent
Street to name just a few. Using the All Day pass visitors can hop on and
off at any of the nine stops around the inner city tram loop and experience
the inner city sights and attractions at their leisure.

HIGH COUNTRY SAFARI TOUR

The tour travels by road through the Canterbury Plains to
the Waimakariri Gorge in the foot hills of the rugged Southern Alps. Travel
by jet boat through the George deep into the Southern Alps to areas
otherwise inaccessible, past 100 metre high train viaducts, waterfalls and
thick beech forest which line the canyon walls. Deep into the rendezvous
with the Unimog and travel in this unique 4WD vehicle while viewing the
spectacular alpine scenery to Flock Hill Station. Lunch at Flock Hill is
followed by the road transfer to Arthur's Pass National Park where you
travel by train for the return journey to Christchurch.
A full day tour departing from Christchurch daily over the summer months

your day getting close to nature. Travel by road or train through the
rolling hill country of North Canterbury, enjoying the beauty of its rural
pastoral scenes, to Kaikoura where mountains meet sea. Kaikoura is world
renowned for the variety of marine mammals which can be seen, not least of
all the giant sperm whales and the acrobatic Dusky Dolphins. On your
arrival in Kaikoura you will be transferred to a whale watch tour; by boat,
light aircraft or helicopter, the choice is yours. Following the tour lunch
has been arranged at Aromas Cafe. In the afternoon you will visit a seal
colony where fur seals may be viewed at close quarters. On your return to
Christchurch a stop will be made at a North Canterbury vineyard where a wine

selection of both white and red wines. Mark Rattray, Pegasus Bay and

dry climate and limestone rich soils, both ideal for quality wine
production. Morning and afternoon departures available throughout the year.
