Cape Brett Cruise

Board our luxury catamaran for the most popular cruise in the Bay of Islands. Our high speed vessel will whisk you on a comfortable journey out through game fishing waters to the Cape Brett Lighthouse.  Next is Motukokako Island and the famous "Hole in the Rock"; the excitement grows as we make a passage through the Hole and on to the majestic Grand Cathedral Cave. On the return journey we take our time and meander through the inner islands. View sandy beaches, beautiful bays and marine wildlife as your skipper gives an informative commentary. Only Fullers includes an island stopover on beautiful Urupukapuka Island where there are numerous activities. Enjoy one of the scenic walks, a swim or ride the Subsea Adventure.  Browse through the Maori Arts and Crafts centre or relax in the cafe.

R Tucker Thompson Tall Ship Sailing

Catch the breeze and set sail for the day on board the unique tall ship "R. Tucker Thompson", built in the tradition of 100 year old schooners by local Northlanders. She has sailed the world but today will explore the somewhat calmer seas of the Bay of Islands with you on board.  Help set the sails, take the helm or just lie back on deck and relax. Hear tales of the ship's exploits from the crew. Enjoy the Devonshire tea freshly baked and brewed in the galley each morning.  At lunchtime the vessel anchors in a secluded bay. Step ashore, take a swim or try swinging from the yardarm. With all this sea air and activity you'll have a hearty appetite - taken care of by a tasty barbecue lunch cooked on board.

DOLPHIN ADVENTURES – Swim with the Dolphins

The Bay has the warmest waters in New Zealand for swimming with dolphins.  Our staff have years of experience in the Bay and an intimate knowledge of marine mammal behaviour. They not only know where to find them, they're able to tell you all about them.  We get you to the dolphins fast in our water-jet powered catamaran. CAPE REINGA WANDERER TOUR (via Ninety Mile Beach)

You will be over-awed by the grandeur of the mighty Kauri trees, the expanse of Ninety Mile Beach and the mystique of Cape Reinga. There are numerous stops for you to take in the scenic highlights and activities. They start with the easy twenty minute boardwalk through the Puketi Kauri Forest.  Thunder along Ninety Mile Beach to the top of New Zealand and wander out to the lighthouse. Ride our sand sledges if you dare! Take a swim, dig for shellfish and taste the local fruits of Kerikeri. Visit the picturesque village of Mangonui.  Your Coach Captain's local knowledge and informative commentary will make this trip one to remember. It is a day full of activity and yours to enjoy. This tour is available with a delicious barbecue lunch in scenic Tapotupotu Bay.

COASTAL KAYAKERS

Departing daily from our base at Waitangi Beach we paddle up the sheltered waters of the Waitangi Estuary to spend time exploring the mysterious mangrove forest and visit Haruru Falls. Our experienced guides will ensure you have a safe, educational and exciting eco-tour. This trip is suitable for all ages, no experience necessary. Complimentary tea and coffee served at the waterfall.

FULL DAY GUIDED KAYAKING TOUR (6-7 Hours)

Join us on this most unique and exciting sea kayaking adventure. In one day we take you to the deserted Motumaire Island where you can lie in the sun, swim, snorkel or sample fresh shell fish, paddle past the historic Waitangi Treaty Grounds and up the Waitangi Estuary to the mysterious mangrove forest. Spend time paddling at leisure amongst the trees as our experienced guides explain this fascinating eco-system as well as pointing out the different fish and bird life along the way. For added excitement we take you to Haruru Falls where you can test your skills if you wish by kayaking under the waterfall before stopping for complimentary tea and coffee.
Snorkel gear provided. (You can bring your swimsuit & towel, camera in a plastic bag, and lunch). No experience necessary.

THE TREATY OF WAITANGI NIGHT SHOW

The Waitangi Treaty House and grounds form the single most symbolic place for Maori and European descendant alike. On this site in 1840 Queen Victoria's representative, William Hobson, and nearly 59 Maori Chiefs signed the document on which the country's constitution is based; the Treaty of Waitangi. It ceded the governorship of the country to Britain.

The evening interpretive cultural performance provides a contemporary presentation of Maori culture. It delivers a tapestry of song and dance with interpretation, local history and narration by a Maori elder.

Operates: Monday, Wednesday Thursday and Saturday. Other days by arrangement. Bookings are essential.

CAPE BRETT WALKWAY - Deep Water Cove Walk

Cape Brett Peninsula protectively encircles the Bay of Islands.
There are two ways to explore the rugged surf swept coastline and contrasting sheltered waters within the bay. Two thirds of the Peninsula is in Maori ownership.

Cruise in a catamaran through the Bay of Islands to Piercy Island. Drop off at Cape Brett Lighthouse. Take a 2.5 hour guided walk to Deep Water Cove. Lunch included. Return by boat to Russell/Paihia.
